We werent really in favour of this song at first - we thought it a bit iffy. But we needed an extra song, so we had to get together in the studio in about an hour, it was a real challange and it turned out to be one of the best tracks, in fact it's going to be the 3rd single. What it's saying is that somewhere somebody's waiting for ......

I do get into these songs when I sing them, I have to! I try try to portray the lyrics how I feel about them, I also add my own bits to them, I make them more erm tasty, it's like cooking soup - if it hasnt enough salt in it you have to taste the flavour - and with records you have to hear the flavour

You have to have the right ingredients, onions, peppers ha ha ha

I added more lyrics to this to make it more tasty too

(screeching with giggles), yeah she added the repeat in the chorus

Oh Lorr-aine, it's a little melody at the end.

I didnt know you wrote that bit

I do the vocal bits on my own you see then I teach them to the others

DORIS

Deniece is the main lead singer of the group but we sing our own songs if we write them

LORRAINE

In this one, deniece is singing about a boy, saying that whenever he's ready to see her she'll be waiting for him

STEADMAN

No..not waiting to see him

LORRAINE

What then?

I'll be waiting for him to come over for tea, ha ha ha

This is my favourite track, I just like the words, theyre so romantic

It's the strongest ballad we've ever been sent

LORRAINE

Sted, I've got a ballad on the album too you know

STEADMAN

Alright, it's one of the strongest ballads - I can really relate to the words, It's going to be the next single

DENIECE

What happens is people send in songs to our record company, then our dad listens to them and calls us in and asks us what we think of each track. If we all like it and Dad thinks it's good we record it.

LORRAINE

We turn down quite a few we're not so keen on and sometimes we dont agree...

DENIECE

But the strong decision is down to our Dad. This is a definate YES for the album - it's about people who are very close and nothing can break their love down

When Deniece first heard this song she said it would be about our family

DENIECE

Well you cant get away from love, thats mostly whats around today(????)

LORRAINE

This is my favourite, I like it because it's quite different to what we normally do. Deniece is singing this song and giving her friend advice about a man who's 2 timing her, and what she should do. It,s not just the lyrics I'm interested in though it's the production.

This was my first introduction to groove music, which is what Delroy listens to a lot- me, I listen to Radio One

Groove is like a mid-tempo dance type soul thing. Thats LeVert records, Cassonova, is a groove track

I co-produced the 2 songs I wrote, this one and Hard race, so theyre my favourites on the Album. This is a ballad, a love song with lovey dovey lyrics, I was quite upset when I wrote this, really down, so I just went to the keyboard and started to write what i felt, it's about 2 lovers being apart. Was I missing anyone when I wrote this? No but I had someone in mind(giggles)Someone I know but I wouldnt tell them(giggles again) because they dont exist, it's written about an ideal man - I hope I'll run into him one day!

I think it's one of my favourites as well, because you can relate it to not just one person but a lot of people, it can really touch a lot of people

We say it as a message to our fans, thats the song I'm really looking forward to performing live

This is another favourite of mine too - I seem to like romantic ballads...

I like ballads that make sense, some of them dont

DORIS

Thats because she listens to stupid ballads

Apart from the ballads, this is my favourite one, because it's good to dance too and fun

It's sort of about having a crush on someone. Have I ever had a crush? yeah once, But I got over it nowTeeheehee, I suppose I thought of it just a bit when I was singing this song..

This is really good cause you can dance to it

It's actually about a girl boasting about her boyfriend, he's too good to be true, Yeah it could be my ideal imaginary man

LORRAINE

Yuk, it says HIS EYES ARE LIQUORISH BLACK, he's mad ourt of liquorish sticks, it sounds like Bertie man on the Liquorish Allsorts advertisment!!!

DENIECE

Not him, but someone like him mmmmmmm sweeeeet!!!

DORIS

I still like Michael Jackson- nothing would put me off him, I dont think he looks like he's had lots of plastic surgery, thats just what the press say, and the way he moves in teh BAD video is brilliant

LORRAINE

I thought the 3D effects were brilliant

3D effects, what are you talkiing about

She means captain EO from Disneyland

(sqeaking emabaressedly) No!, I've got a special telly.

This was written and sung by Lorraine, and I must admit it's my absolute favourite

(Looking bashfull) because it sends you too sleep

No, it's different, very poppy and its got a nice melody to it, it's charming and very well written

LORRAINE

If you played it on a rainy day like today it would brighten everything up because it's a very lively tune, it's never been my favourite song though. I got the idea from a drumbeat but I always come up with the lyrics first it's not a certain experience, I have to go through, they just come out of the blue, I dont go through any experiences

I like it too, after hearing Denieces voice going on for so long it's nice to have a change

Do I look embaraseed now, I'm quite pleased really

I wrote this with Delroy, ut it's not my favourite song, Not any more anyway, it used to be but I've heard it too much, You think it's got naughty lyrics?, thats Delroy

Not its not its her

I dont think it's naughty it all depends on how you take it, it's a code - the boy has to knock twice on the girls bedroom door so she knows its him, then he can come in

LORRAINE

Doris had to write this song in a day

DORIS

Because I'd had one turned down by the record company, we liked it but they didnt, so my dad informed me that I had to write something else, Delroy was in the studio and I was upstairs trying to finish of Knock Twice but I couldnt, so I went down to the studio and asked him for help. Delroy did all the music in the end, and thats what I like, the meleody. When the 5 of us get together we dont get anything done, we've tried it but we lark around too much, but if its just a couple of us we get it done

I didnt write anything on this album, but I've got some on the next, We picked all the strongest tracks and I didnt really think mines weere strong enough. The problem was that we had more than enough good songs

So he HAS got some good songs, but tis not just who writes them that counts, its just whats the best

No it isnt she's just being silly about the lyrics, it's a challenging song about overcoming difficulties - it's the kind of thing you might hear at a sports event. It was written in mind of being a theme for a movie - I was thinking of Rocky when I wrote it, i'd like it to be used for a film - thats being spoken about at the moment, it's the only track that stands out from the whole album. it starts with a bit of heavy metal guitar, it's like a rock song, its quite fun having a rock song on the album because everyone expects us to do the same material
