On Saturday, the 19th July 2008 Five Star Luxury is 3 Years of age.

On Our forum, fans have posted questions they wanted to ask Five star, so we made a thread where people could ask their questions.

With help from Jonesey and his Team, he put these questions to Denise Pearson and Stedman Pearson ( Steddie P) from Five Star making this an EXCLUSIVE Fan Based Interview, in fact , the first Interview since 2003.

QUESTIONS FROM THE FANS

Q.What were the best years for you in Five star?

A.For us it was 1988, being at stone court. Tv wise - live at her majesty’s, and meeting the queen who said she loved us!. In the USA – bandstand, history and soul train

Q.Sted did you ever want to act?

A.s always, I got offered a part in 1988 for a usa motion picture but Buster wanted only music commitments from the family, so I had to turn it down

Q.Who is the Gorgeous guy in Brand New World?

A.A hired model extra through an agency.

Q.What is everyone's favourite memory of the group?

A.I think meeting the fans at the gate is still such a special moment for us all

Q.Which video was torture to do?

A.Find the time cos of the kick steps and jumping up and down and treat me like a lady because buster and Stedman were already at war!

Q.What was the Rock my world video about, the quarry in relation to the song?

A.Buster wasn’t ready for the real meaning of the term ‘rock my world’ so he chose the stone option to keep it safe. Leather and safe?

Q.Quite how comfortable were those sequinned outfit?

A.Very uncomfortable, heavy, awkward to move in. Sted suggested to get stretchy sequin costumes which came later on.

Q.Did Denise put up a fight to keep those eye-peeper?

A.No it was her creation and she loved it, it looked fantastic it made a statement

Q.Who designed the logo?

A.Buster

Q.How did they fit in the wardrobe in rain or shine?

A.All special effects, we all stood behind a cardboard cut out and acted the part to the camera before the effects were added.

Q. Which track would they like to re-release?

A.With every heartbeat on a personal level, commercial level, let me be the one

Q.What would Funktafied video have been like?

A.21st century out of space, Star Wars meets Tron

Q.Why only 3 singles from BTL?

A BMG decision over the decision from Buster talking about moving to epic. BMG under promoted the release as there were problems growing.

Q.Who's car was it Denise sang to in Strong as Steel?

A.Hired in the car for the day

Q.What’s your favourite self written track?

A.Innocent (Sted)

Q.Favourite Movie just now?

A.Hancock

Q.What time do you get up in morning?

A.Went to bed at 5am awoke at 11.30!

Q.When were all the brothers and sisters last together and what did you do ?

A.2006 at christmas

Q.Did you turn down any songs, that went on to be singles for other acts?

A.None that we were ever aware of. BP & BMG had total say

Q. If you had your choice, which single would you have never released?

A.Godsend should have been released, if I say yes, we hated

Q. Who is your favourite artist in the chart currently?

A.Rhianna

Q. What's your favourite album in history?

A.Fs album Silk and steel, personal Janet control – new sounds were so hot!

Q. Will you ever sing Hard Race or Godsend live?

A.Yes as soon as a concert with a live band, then it can happen

A.Smiles hard and says nothing, fingers crossed ! xxx

Q. Which is your favourite B-Side to your single releases?

A.Lost in you

Q. What happened to your songs or lyrics for songs you made that didn’t appear on your albums? will we ever get to hear them?

A.Bp has all of them and probably never no

Q. Most memorable Gig?

A.House of blues, los angeles. Sunset bvld was the place to be everyone had played there

Q. What happened to the New Album you were working on as mentioned by Lorraine in an Interview with Jonathan Ross in 2003?

A.No other album, just talk

Q.Would you ever consider writing a warts and all autobiography?

A.Oh hell yes!!!!!!!

Q: Would you ever enter the Eurovision, as a singer - or as a songwriter for another act ?

A.As a songwriter maybe

Q: Did 5 Star ever consider working with Stock Aitken & Waterman ?

A.5 star did but bp didn’t

Q : Why did 5 Star never share lead vocals on a single - singing a few lines (or a verse) each, in the way that so many of the chart stars of recent years do (Sugababes , Atomic Kitten , Steps , Spice Girls , SClub , Girls Aloud etc) ?

A. Dp was best singer according to bp.

Q : If 5 Star had recorded a cover version of a Christmas song - which classic would you have chosen ?

A.White Christmas Bing Crosby as a 5 part a capella harmony

Q.who are all the extras in the ILYFSR video?

A.Agency cast

Q.who would you love to work with now?

A.Eminem, Catherine Tate, Wayans brothers, Oprah winfrey

Q.I'd love to know why, with all the mags and tv programmes Five Star at the height of their fame were in, why was there not even a snippet of pic of their very first performance on Pebble Mill pre-RCA, you know the way when you see a documentary about a popstar now you'll see what they did before they were famous, why are there no clips or pics available for even tv shows who do a segment on Five Star?

A.Bp wouldn’t allow it

Q. What was the most memorable fan mail or gift any member of the group received, and did anyone keep any of it ? There must have one point been thousands of letters ?

A.Jewellery, kept in safe and yes we kept it.

Q.Who was the first person to move out of the Pearson family home (presumably L.A) and when was it ?

A.Denise due to marriage

Q.Do you still get recognised in public ?

A.Yes

Q.i would love you to ask Stedman and Denise looking back over the past 25years if, even through the highs and lows, they would change one thing about their career? and do they have any regrets?

A.In hindsight we should have stayed at rca, and Buster should not have managed us, family is hard enough without the business pressure on top.

Q.What video was the most FUN to make and why ? Tell us all about it :-)

A.If I say yes, cos of the haunted mansion and wearing chic outfits.
