Denise started writing when she was 9 and seems to be able to write any genre style and be able to sing any style, genre and range, with her powerful strong vocals, she is able to pull this of live also, quite effortlessly, maintaining key and tone perfectly.

Weirdly enough Denise was the 3rd person in her family to sing on TV, first was Doris with Problematic, then Lorraine with Say Godbye and the Denise took the lead.

At the age of 17, in 1985, Denise was nominated for a Grammy for composing the best instrumental, for First avenue.

Denise has had most of the lead vocals on each song but the others have also sang lead, and every one of them have had at least 2 songs where they have lead vocals.

Another thing that makes Denises writing, singing style stand out is her ability to ad lib, whether its on a record, or at a gig, and it always seems to fit

Denise is able to sing each song in the right key first time she sings it, and has a vocal range that can be compared with the best singers in the world.

She also arranges all the bands vocal harmonies, she is a perfectionist, and drives herself til its perfect to her ears.
